It uses sea turtles as a flagship species to underscore the inter-connectedness of terrestrial, marine, and beach ecosystems. This strategy promotes sustainable practices and policies, while empowering local communities to take ownership of conservation efforts, ultimately protecting the sea turtles and the expansive ecosystems they represent.
